Perfectly proper Victorian women Susan Swayne and her fellow Society of Lady Detectives follow the normal protocols of the day -- tea, lunch and ... a little swordplay. The women of S.O.L.D. get a shock when the distraught Isabelle Fontaine-Kite is adamant that a member of the group is actually her missing husband Eric, spurring Swayne to take the case and find out the truth. Susan Swayne and the Bewildered Bride turns the traditional detective yarn on its ear and shows powerful, three-dimensional female characters taking charge in an entertaining, enlightening world premiere.

Thoroughly enjoyable respite that takes you away for 90 minutes plus one intermission! Superb acting by the all female cast playing both sexes is reminiscent of Shakespeare plays performed by all male actors! The very real swordplay was phenomenally skillful & the cockney accents & costumes were well designed for Chapel Hill! A definite thumbs up piece of detective work!!
