More Details About This Event: This class is for the true beginner--no experience and no partner necessary.
Swing I: Intro to Swing will introduce the concepts of leading and following as well as the basic rhythm and turns of six-count swing. The instructors will present the material at a moderate pace, quick enough to keep it moving and slow enough to allow plenty of practice time. This is a series of four one-hour classes, and you will rotate partners throughout the class. About Big City Swing: Julee Mertz discovered the small Lindy Hop scene in Chicago in 1997. Instantly hooked by the music, the sense of community and the energy of the dance, her adored hobby fast became a full time job
