There were a lot of people signed up for this particular class, so it was very crowded. The teachers knew what they were talking about and even threw in some comedy.

One class down, 3 to go. Fun, lighhearted but clear and helpful instructors. The class is a bit crowded for the size of the room. But, being an intro course, there isn't likely to be any airborne moves....
We're looking forward to the rest of the session.

I have taken other dance classes and was therefore a little unsure going into this - but the class is great. You dance with not only the person you came with (if you started with a partner - not required) but also with others - and the switching of partners really helps to know what you and your partner are doing right and not so right. There are two instructers - one male one female which really helps too. And they are just plain relaxed and fun.
For the Monday class, the dates are: January 7, 14, 21 and 28
For the Saturday class, the dates are: January 12, 19, 26 and Feb 2
(Purchase is for one set of classes or the other. They are not interchangeable.)
Swing music is invigorating and the dance is captivating, but to the beginner, the scene is often intimidating. Our instructors have the talent, experience and sense of humor to make the dance accessible to everyone. Big City Swing's instructors teach their students how to truly enjoy the music and dance with confidence.
If you've never taken a dance class before, this is a great place to start.
Please wear comfortable clothing and soft soled shoes. All students are advised to select shirts with sleeves and shoes with a closed back (no mules or flipflops).

In September of 2001, Julee was asked to join the cast of "Swing! The Original Broadway Musical" and toured nationally from Sept 2001 to February 2002. After completing the tour, she was asked to return to NYC to train the next touring cast of "Swing!".
