If you don't live in Hyde Park, getting supper can be a little bit of a problem because you have to get to the area through rush hour traffic, resulting in a short window of time to eat before the show. There's nothing much around the theatre, so you have to eat somewhere else, then drive to the theatre. An Iliad dining • Nov 21 2013 star this tip starred

I attended with my husband and three children, all three aged 16. At Intermission, my children's reactions ran from "I really like it" to "it's good" to "it's ok. Can I get a Snickers bar?" I reminded my one son what the premise of the show was to me (adaptation of a play written almost 400 years ago, original was with certain # of syllables and rhymed) and that part of attending theatre was an appreciation for the entire package, especially, in my opinion, the dialogue. By the end of the show, everyone was won over and I believe my three children all grew in their appreciation for language and the arts. It wasn't very difficult since they are in honors/AP courses and grew up in a very musical home, but I LOVED the overall learning experience for them. The acting was outstanding by the way! :)

This is a favorite play of mine and I loved the way Court and Charlie cast and directed this version. Elizabeth Ledo stole the show as Dorine and the rest of the cast was up to her caliber! I'm amazed this isn't selling out! Do go see it!
