"A theater without beer is just a museum." Most often attributed to German playwright and theater director Bertolt Brecht, this quote is the guiding sentiment of Drinking & Writing Theater's Brechtoberfest. In this Oktoberfest-themed show, veteran Chicago actors and improvisers Steve Mosqueda and Sean Benjamin will be joined by comedian and satirist Jamie Budzick to examine the whole concept of festivals. They'll use Brecht as a guide, employing some of his revolutionary techniques and theories of theater in their quest. Learn More

I thought it was great fun, the scenes were well sketched out. I went with my wife and a friend; they were entertained, but called it good not great. We all agreed, however, that the venue and libations were top notch. Definitely go.
Quotes & Highlights
“Odd but endearing … Sean Benjamin and Steve Mosqueda have done their research well … It’s a testament to the pair’s powers of entertainment that the show ran half an hour longer than the expected 70 minutes, and I had no idea until I checked the time.” —Chicago Reader (Recommended)
