When Kay quits her corporate job to teach English at a Chicago public school, visions of changing the world dance in her head. But in Principal Principle, a dark comedy written by former teacher Joe Zarrow, Kay learns that plenty of things are broken -- the copy machine, the spirits of her fellow teachers and the system. An evening of eight monologues performed by some excellent actors. While there are plenty of laughs, don't go expecting a "rowdy, raunchy good time." There's plenty of meat to chew on as well, and this cast can handle it.
One thing to note: The "sexual harassment" referred to in the promotional materials is actually rape. I am pleased to note that this isn't a show of rape jokes or anything like that, but the subject matter is definitely heavier than your standard late night fare.
