view more less of this reviewAbsolutely fantastic!! I cannot recommend this play more highly. My son (age 9) and I went and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect - from chatting with the gal selling books in the entry, viewing the play to meeting the actors afterward. The fact that Selznick (author of the book) was integral in the development of this play was very evident - as the scenery looks as if it was "pencil drawn" just like the illustrations in Selznick's books. The play is only 1 hour - also perfect for a child's limited attention span. You must see it before it leaves town.
star this review starred report as inappropriateNot to be missed! Live music, puppetry, good acting and a great story. This was thought provoking for my 11 year old and my 5 and 8 year old were enthralled! The cast and comapany treat the children with respect! Wish it was longer!

pleasantly surprised at the seating we received via Goldstar. THE PLAY WAS absolutely wonderful and I've seen many family plays. Stage settings were entertaining and actors and costuming was so professional I highly recommend it.
We took the CTA red line and it was easy. Must mention the restaurant/bar next to and inside the theatre had great customer service. Sunday Feb 2012 CH of Evanston
