Harris Theater for Music and Dance welcomes pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi and his orchestra, who will perform original repertoire from his latest album, In a Time Lapse. Einaudi is known for is contemporary approach to classical composition, combining classical, folk and world music traditions with pop and rock influences. In a Time Lapse was composed over a period of two years and was developed as a suite in the form of a novel, with different chapters. Within the music you can hear you can hear echoes of baroque and Italian folk music, late romantic strings textures, and a wide variety of colors between percussions and electronics. Einaudi's signature melding of contemporary and classical influences is the perfect instrument for this musical reflection on the concept of time. Learn More
