It was the best of times, the worst of times ... and the greatest of plays. Lifeline Theatre presents a new stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' most exciting novel, A Tale of Two Cities. Set against the bloody backdrop of the French Revolution, two Londoners face impossible choices. Will the former aristocrat Charles Darnay abandon his family to protect an innocent man? And will the drunken but noble barrister Sydney Carton make the ultimate sacrifice for his unrequited love? Crowded with soldiers, servants, revolutionaries and nobility, A Tale of Two Cities captures the dangerous spirit of times not-so-different from our own. Souls are tested and guillotines are sharpened in this classic directed by Elise Kauzlaric. Learn More

another admirable work from lifeline theatre. the preview definitely showed a great promise for later in the run; can't wait to see it again. rob kauzlaric's writing is a wonder, and the principal actresses were captivating. the set is cool but at times doesn't seem functional. the costuming is STUNNING. and, they use a real mouse! see this show.
"My own love! With all your wealth, and all your beauty, how friendless you are!" Trapped in a loveless marriage and threatened by a conspiracy of ruthless men, young heiress Laura Fairlie faces a future of sorrow and misery. Her only hope lies with her true love, the poor artist Walter Hartright, and her sister Marian Halcombe, both of whom will risk everything to protect her. Without the law, society, or money on their side, Walter and Marian must race against time to free their beloved Laura and uncover the truth behind the mysterious woman in white that shares her face. A dark tale of romance and suspense, in a world premiere adaptation.
