The events of two momentous evenings happen in the same space. As twenty-somethings John and Kat prepare themselves on the eve of their wedding, an older couple -- Jack and Catherine -- are on the brink of the end of their marriage. As Jack and Catherine look back and John and Kat look forward, it becomes evident that all is not what it first seemed.

This show is a great example of theatre ingenuity. The writing was clever, the staging brilliant and unexpected. We see a lot of theatre and this is one of our favorite new shows.
I was a little concerned when I learned that the director/choreographer also worked on Urinetown, because I thought he missed the marked with that show in a big way. But on this show, in this instance, he hit the nail on the head.

I thought this was a great show!! What a wonderful opportunity to see a new musical! The actors were extremely talented and the show was both touching and hilarious (there were some "racy" elements to the show, so if you are very sensitive to that sort of material, you might want to pass).
This was definitely a great show to go to and you can't beat the Goldstar price!

There is not a bad seat in the house. This play made me laugh and cry. I loved it!

Lackluster, monotonous music and sophomoric, unoriginal characters mar this show. Simultaneously following the lives of two separate, unrelated couples, one whose marriage is dissolving, and another facing a complicated start, flatly doesn't work. While the playwright obviously sought to reflect the different relationships off of each another, setting up a two–way thematic bridge, it didn't work; the overall structure didn't hold up. The performances were good; they actors had lots of energy and gave good renditions, but their work doesn't save the play.

Wonderful story lines woven together through song and clever but simple use of staging/set. Actors were excellent and singing was great.

My husband and I brought another couple with us who are not regular theater-goers. I was hoping for a good show ... and it was! Great script, great cast, clever staging. Too bad it's finishing up! Kudos to the girl who played young Kat and just graduated from NU -- quite a feat to be on stage so soon. The cast had some frenetic singing numbers and all delivered them well! Nice use of harmonies and choreography. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed the show. The venue is in such a perfect spot ... we had so many places to choose from for an after-show drink. Thanks.

Beautiful singing and acting (and even some dancing), along with clever staging, made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the theatre. I hightly recommend this show.

Very well written. The cast was just okay. But overall it was a good production. I would recommend it.

Nothing deep, but a cute light evening of fun. Energetic young cast with good singing voices.

Perhaps a bit overly sentimental, but very enjoyable. Could be a good date show for more serious dates. :)

We really liked the show. Great voices, clever use of backdrops and a good story.

A great experience - beautifully acted and sung, with four exceptionally strong performances. Staging was minimal, but there was a creative use of projected visuals to enhance some of the scenes. Although the songs were "forgettable" - I couldn't remember a single one afterward - they fit perfectly with the piece to create strong emotional connections with each of the characters. If you love musical theater, don't miss this one!

I thought the book and score were good, the cast very talented, and particularly enjoyed the use of projections on the neutral set.

This was an amazing performance. Great second row seats. All four actors were incredible. The musical was written well with lots of humor and dancing combined with important messages. I recommend this musical to anybody.

Very good music, acting, singing and choreography. Imaginative staging. Second act could be tightened up.

The actors were fantastic. The vocals on these young people were great. They made the already thought provoking story line entertaining. The only problem with the show was that it went too fast!! My husband and I had a wonderful evening. Thank you!!!

great seats! Thank you. The play was OK.

The play was very well done and the 4 actors were very talented. I was surprised at the ending and I thought it added a lot to the play. We had great seats - as did everyone because the venue is small and all of the seats are close to the stage!!
I would highly recommend this show as it was very entertaining and reasonably priced. Also, it was located in the heart of Lincoln Park so there are many great restaurants and bars nearby if you want to have dinner or drinks before or after the show!
The events of two momentous evenings happen in the same space. As twenty-somethings John and Kat prepare themselves on the eve of their wedding, an older couple - Jack and Catherine - are on the brink of the decree absolute that will end their marriage. As Jack and Catherine look back and John and Kat look forward, it becomes evident that all is not what it first seemed. Are we watching two couples on one night? – or maybe it is one couple, on two nights separated by a decade. Two pivotal nights in the marriage that is crumbling before our eyes. The scenes interweave and echo through time, as the two storylines play out and each protagonist faces their own mountain to climb.
