(3.5 stars, really) As big fans of four-color comics and superheroes, this show was right up our alley. Clever and often hilarious, the bumbling supers offer just enough esoteric comedy for the fanboys while keeping the dialogue from going over the heads of everyone else. The sets were sparse, so it was up to the actors to carry it, which they did most of the time. Technical glitches really cut into the flow of the night, and they need to focus their projector, but it didn't really matter. We really loved the production. We're thankful to Goldstar for the opportunity to discover this gem of a theater and we will *definitely* be back.

I thought it was hilarious. My only problem was the theater set up. I sat up front but kinda off to the side and sometimes the characters were talking with their backs to me and I couldn't hear very well. But otherwise, it was good and the acting was wonderful, especially that of the character "FATE"

Description

From the dynamic duo that brought you Manos: Rock Opera of Fate, citizens of the world beware!

Coming this summer to a theatre near you, New Millennium Theatre Company presents a new breed of evil: incompetence. In a season chock full of superhero riff-raff, the world-premiere comedy Villains is the anti-superhero answer to your summer.

Villains paints a vivid picture of the true-life struggles of making it in a "super-fied" world. It’s not all million-dollar lasers and man-eating viruses…it takes hard work, time and dedication. And that’s where Jeff comes in! Follow the adventures of this self-proclaimed leader and his band of misfits--Slab, Lady Woman, The Fate, and Heat Conduction Man--as they work to make a name for themselves.

Presented in partnership with Amazing Fantasy Books and Comics, G-Mart Comic Books, Graham Crackers Comics (Loop Location), and Challengers Comics and Conversations.
