Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and Tim Rice's lyrics bring the compelling true story of Eva Perón to vivid life through stunning showstoppers like "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying Adored." Evita follows the path of the small-town peasant girl as she uses her considerable smarts and charisma to rise from the slums of Argentina to President Juan Perón's side as first lady, becoming one of South America's most powerful women. JPACtheatre knows a winning formula, and the combination of playwright Robin Hawdon and director Dante J. Orfei is a sure-fire mixture for laughs. This will be the second of Hawdon’s plays to appear at JPAC under Mr. Orfei’s direction, the first being the wildly hilarious Don’t Dress for Dinner (2007).
The cast includes Eddie Urish (Fred), Katie Jenson (Judy), Caleb Scales (Maurice), Rachelynn Primm (Yvette), and Patrick Cameron (Shaun) of Chicago, IL, and Erin Oeschsel (Moira) of Naperville, IL.
