Walking Tour of Cincinnati's Downtown North Area
Cincinnati's downtown is a virtual melting pot of churches and religious symbols that, together, make up the fabric of the city. On this one-and-a-half-hour walking tour, your Architreks/Cincinnati Walks guide will point out all the religious influences on downtown architecture, secular and otherwise. You'll learn about the temple that once stood at the corner of 8th and Plum Streets, hear the details of those carved shapes on the frieze of the Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company, and discover the history of the Bon Marche in Cincinnati. You'll see details you never noticed before, but will make perfect sense once you know the fascinating stories behind them.
