Long before ABC's Scandal and Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots there was King David's palace, a royal stronghold seething with adultery, murder, cover-ups and sons ready to repeat the sins of their fathers. A spiritual sequel to 2012's Up on the Roof: The Story of Bathsheeba and King David, Behind Closed Doors: The Story of King David and His Son Absalom relates the lessons that God taught King David through the rebellion of his son, Absalom. A story of love, loss, repentance and the unbreakable bond between a father and his son, the play is presented by Evangel Cathedral, whose mission is to present a visible demonstration of the love of God to the community, the marketplace and the world. This riveting show stars Jarmel Evans, lead songwriter, performer and producer of contemporary worship band Worship Forever. Learn More

A good show and a good meal. It is a long evening though - 5:15 until 9:40. Dinner starts 5:15, but the show doesn't start until 7pm. We brought our 2 kids (5 and 7) they enjoyed the show but got very restless by the intermission. All in all, we had a very good evening for a good price.

The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness. Songs loved the world over include “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were A Rich man” and “Matchmaker”.
