Shock Therapy Tour 2013
brings together shock-rock icons Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson for a night of metal and mayhem at Merriweather Post Pavilion. A larger-than-life performer and master showman, horror-rock legend Alice Cooper combines infectious heavy-metal melodies ("School's Out," "I'm Eighteen") with true theatricality in an energetic stage show that often incorporates movie imagery, stage blood and more. Known as much for his controversial stage persona as his music, Marilyn Manson found worldwide commercial success with a string of chart-topping hits, including "The Beautiful People," "The Dope Show" and a brooding cover of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)." Throughout the '90s and into the new millennium, Manson has helped bring outrageous imagery, anti-establishment lyrics and outlandish costumes into the mainstream. Costumed shock-rock veterans GWAR open the show.
