The unusual combo of piano, clarinet and violin give the dynamic trio known as miXt its signature sound, which they'll share as part of the Candlelight Concert Society's 41st season. Award-winning violinist Benjamin Beilman, Spanish clarinetist José Franch-Ballester and Israeli pianist Ran Dank are all Young Concert Award winners, and all accomplished soloists and chamber musicians. They're set to open, fittingly, with Bartok's Contrasts for Violin, Clarinet & Piano, followed by Beethoven's Sonata No. 7, Novacek's Four Rags for Two Jons and Pulitzer Prize-nominee Paul Schoenfield's klezmer-influenced Trio.
