California Ballet Company presents Beyond the Barre Choreographer's Concert, a forum for company dancers to explore their own choreography and for artists in the community to present original works. Dance genres featured in this dynamic and entertaining performance event include contemporary and neoclassical ballet as well as contemporary dance, aerial silks (in which artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a special fabric), jazz and musical theater. The works are choreographed by both established and emerging local choreographers. Following the performance, stay and participate in an informal discussion with the artists.
