We had the bestseats ever for our first production, Leading Ladies, of the 3 show pkg - front row center table! What a great deal and what a great show! Really enjoyed the high caliber of acting displayed. Some of these folks might want to consider giving up their day job! Very, very funny storyline. Looking forward to the next in the series, Trailer Trash!Written on Mar 12 2011

Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig
January 28 - March 6
Directed by Keith A. Anderson
Comedy
Comedy about two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, who find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady’s vivacious niece, Meg, who’s engaged to the local minister. Meg knows that there’s a wide world out there, but it’s not until she meets “Maxine and Stephanie” that she finally gets a taste of it. Leading Ladies premiered at the Alley Theatre in October 2004, directed by the author.

Roman Holiday by Matt Thompson
July 8 - August 7
Directed by Matt Thompson
Comedy
It’s a Christmas of mischief, mayhem, and meatballs in this hilarious romantic comedy. When Stacey arrives in Rome to rendezvous with her boyfriend, Michael, she unexpectedly encounters Nigel, a British professor and kleptomaniac; members of the lively, animated Pagliazzi family; and an Italian don dressed in a Santa suit and sunglasses. When Michael arrives at Stacey’s hotel and proposes marriage, Stacey panics. Suffering from a bad case of pre-marriage jitters, Stacey concocts a plan to make Michael jealous by having Nigel pose as her boyfriend. But Stacey’s plan goes awry when Nigel dons a dress and introduces himself as a German chef named Belinda Bratwurst. Twists, turns, and misunderstandings abound in this face-paced comedy that features endless opportunities for actors to showcase their comedic talents.
