This courtroom drama is based on 1925's "Scopes Monkey Trial", in which former Presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan and controversial lawyer Clarence Darrow battled over the teaching of evolution in public schools.

Play was very good. Male leads were fantastic! Only downfall was we sat right in front of the ensemble( towns people) and they were so loud and distracting sometimes we couldn't hear the leads. Sit on the left to avoid this.Written on Jun 29 2007

The performances by the main characters was wonderful, comparable to the Hollywood film production of "Inherit the Wind". The sets are a bit underwhelming, though. However, I would definitely recommend this production as one not to be missed. A memorable production!Written on Jun 25 2007

A good friend of mine was a lead in this play, so I enjoyed seeing him in it. Also, it was my first experience with community theater, which was really fun. I loved the intimate dinner theater atmosphere of the Coronado Playhouse with the little tables and all the regular attendees. I also enjoyed the audience participation, and the fact that all the players are volunteers. What a fun evening out, and at a great price!Written on Jun 25 2007
