I have seen the play many times on & off Broadway, and, of course, the movie. This production really paled next to any of them. Mainly due to the poor performance of the main character -- feeble voice, poor acting, and where'd she get that awful wig?? The directing was also below acceptable. The main character was made to be sophisticated & elegant, when she's supposed to be a dance-hall girl with a heart of gold. Any of the other women characters would have made a better "Sweet Charity." I did not understand the Director's decisions at all. In all ...... pretty weak.Written on Jan 28 2008

I have seen better productions at high school musicals. The sets were poor, made of cardboard and wooden benches, and the signs were hand printed on construction paper. I guess the money was spent on the programs and the liquor being served.Written on Jan 28 2008
