The weather was sunny 75.. I wore jeans with a cardigan and sandals; children and adults alike were dressed in costumes; inside was appropriately cooled; there's a little snack bar at the back corner of the "theater"; kids got to sit on the floor by the stage.

We ate at the nearby Boathouse restaurant (not the real name - think it's called 1877 or something similar, but it's IN a boathouse). A tad pricey, but the food was excellent.

This was one of the most amateurish productions I have seen in many years. My third-graders would have liked it, but it was ridiculous as an adult performance. The description of the play was totally misleading. Although an adventurous concept,...continued

It was a very intimate venue and so every seat was a great seat. This musical had a message for our time which appealed to me as an adult. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the costumes, the music and the creative set designs. My entire family...continued

Imagine a musical so compelling, so emotional, and intellectually provocative, it makes you laugh and cry from beginning to end. Take an hour and a half to smell the flowers, and see the strange effects of toxic waste, climate change, greedy Russians, wiley lizards, and poisonous plants as they threaten extinction while being threatened with money!

Fall in love with the enchanting musical score and wildly unexpected characters. Laugh at life, and wonder at its fragile and powerful nature. A merry-go-round of wit; a roller coaster of emotion; a musical ride that sweeps you off your feet and lifts you up like a butterfly.  An all- new musical about life, love and a world to share.

Coronado Playhouse is thrilled to bring you The Magical Forest, a world premiere of an original musical by local playwright, composer and lyricist Eric Scot Frydler.  His musical is as beautiful as anything you have ever heard. The story is inspiring, funny, sad, and touching. It will give you a new perspective on life and new hope for the future.

The Magical Forest offers surprising special effects and lively dance on the heels of choreographer Diana Valero Olivier and visionary director Jessica Seamen.  A beautiful musical featuring the heavenly sounds of The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir under the direction of Kenneth Anderson. This is a rare treat!

It’s a fountain of bubbling humor, passion, and bitter-sweet waters mixed with lighthearted humor brought to life by award-winning and beloved veteran actors Ivan Harrison, Skyler Dennon, and James Steinberg. Enhanced by the powerful voices of young singing gems Alene Lynch (Chloe), Judy Mora (Queen of Marshland), Michael Anderson (Scrapper), Simon Barrett (Ragwort), and a rap by newcomer Jenell Billingslea (Termite Rapper).
