Two award-winning and acclaimed Hawaiian musicians, Nathan Aweau and Jeff Peterson, join forces to create Mamo, a thrilling duo that takes traditional hula standards (along with some of the pair's original works) and gives them a little jazz twist. The result is a fresh look at some of Hawaii's most popular hula songs. Peterson is a renowned slack key guitarist who's proficient in a variety of styles from jazz and classical to slack key and beyond. Bassist and vocalist Aweau has been hailed by The New York Times for his "advanced understanding of harmony and orchestration" and "effortless" singing. Both are Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners who have dazzled Barclay audiences with their brilliant musicianship in recent years. Learn More

Wouldn't it be nice to turn back the clock to a time when things seemed less complicated? When the colors of the day shone with the brilliance and texture of a Kodachrome photograph, and the music coming over the airwaves spoke of love, hope, and the simple pleasures that life had to offer.
The year is 1961, and the world is about to be introduced to a sound created by five boys in the garage of their family home in Hawthorne, California. A sound that would change the landscape of recorded music forever. Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine, and Dennis Wilson were the five elements that made up America's first supergroup, The Beach Boys.
Surfin’ Safari is a faithful recreation of what it would have been like to see The Beach Boys live, in concert, in their prime. This 5 member line up is unrivaled in their sound, presentation, and professionalism. There are no backing tracks or extra musicians playing off-stage!
Surfin’ Safari is as close as you will ever get to seeing the original 5 member line up of the Beach Boys. The incomparable beauty of their vocal harmonies, the crashing back beat of Dennis Wilson’s drums, the soaring surf guitar of Carl Wilson, and the genius of Brian Wilson’s music are all here. The uniband choreography, the Fender guitar line up, the famous custom striped shirts, right down to the black suede Beach Boys boots, it’s all here.
Surfin’ Safari has taken great care to preserve the honor and integrity of the music of the Beach Boys and delivers a show that will leave you with a mile wide smile, a jump in your step, and a feeling of joy in your heart.
