The directions are quite poor. The theater is "buried" deep inside Vanguard University and NOT on 55 Fair Drive as represented. Bathrooms are about 60 yards from the venue and this is obviously a venue in its embryonic stages.Written on Jun 12 2010
Sadly, I won't be returning. I couldn't fault the production for lack of effort, and in one instance (the African American) singer is a stand-out in everything she sings in. The others try gamely and do their best. I couldn't get past the thought that I'd wondered into a production on rock n roll music put on by the PTA. While the back-up musicians, set and overall set up were quite good, the sum of all the components simply didn't gel for me. We left at intermission, having had enough. In fairness, we spend more than 1/2 of our entertainment dollars on Broadway in NYC, and at the LA Music Center, so its not fair to compare a local enterprise with full blown professional theater productions.
