The Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Come Fly Away, the new Broadway musical conceived, choreographed and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp by special arrangement with the Frank Sinatra Family and Frank Sinatra Enterprises. The show follows four couples as they fall in and out of love during one song-and-dance filled evening at a crowded nightclub. Blending the legendary vocals of Frank Sinatra with a live on-stage big band and 14 of the world's finest dancers, Come Fly Away is a soaring musical fantasy of romance and seduction that features an unparalleled hit parade of classics, including "Fly Me To The Moon," "My Way" and "That's Life." The show's score combines classic and newly discovered vocal performances from the Sinatra archives, along with Sinatra's signature arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Quincy Jones and others, plus brand-new charts, for this fresh and innovative musical. Took a drive to Costa Mesa from West LA to see In The Heights as I had been told it was a "must see". OC PAC is certainly a lovely looking venue from the outside, modern, clean and stylish and the seats inside through Goldstar were good - located in the middle of Tier 1 with a good view of the stage below.Written on Aug 18 2010
The show itself was very enjoyable with some memorable songs, in an interesting and unique style and with some great choreography. The characters Benny and Nina were particularly strong with this particular cast. Although I wasn't blown away as I was the first time I saw Les Mis for example, or Spring Awakening, it was still a good night out.

My husband, our 7 year old girl and I really enjoyed this event. Our 9 year old boy said he's not sure, but he seemed to enjoy it and didn't have anything negative to say. The seats were good. This was our first time at this venue and we agreed that we would go again! We were a bit under dressed (casual) and I'd recommend a more dressy casual. I was very pleased that my husband enjoyed the performance. :)Written on Aug 16 2010

awesome!. great music, great dancing and singing that will send shivers to your spine. Lin manuel miranda is a great composer! not one dull moment. It was so enjoyable it did not seem like it was 2hours. A very sexy and creative productiopn. great set design. I love the fact that its not your traditional musical..it has drums, trumpets and guitar...worth the 30 bucks even more..Its just sad they did not recieve a Big standing ovation, because they deserve it..must be because of its nontraditional elements, the rap is very refreshing to hear!! it would be a good idea to listen to the lyrics prior to the show..Written on Aug 11 2010

The cast was very strong vocally, and although the story-line was so-so, everything else was first rate. An enchanting evening, filled with spine tingling performances by an absolutely first rate cast. Highly recommended.Written on Aug 10 2010
