Kids will be kids -- and adults will too -- in the dark comedy God of Carnage, which finds two sets of high-strung, upscale parents meeting to work things out after their young sons get into a violent playground scrape. But as the evening progresses and the alcohol flows, the couples' behavior deteriorates from stoically civilized to outrageously juvenile as accusations are hurled and secrets are revealed. A hit on Broadway, this sharp-witted play by Yasmina Reza (Art) won the Tony Award in 2009. Two years later, Roman Polanski (Rosemary's Baby) remade it into an acclaimed film starring Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly. Now Michael Serna (True West, Proof) directs a searing new production at Costa Mesa Playhouse. Learn More

I'm a huge fan of the book and the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, so I had to go see this. I found it to be delightful. The actors were great, and protrayed the characters wonderfully. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
One of the most popular novels in English literature comes to the stage in a lavish production centered on a bustling, enthusiastic—and discombobulated—family. They’re the Bennets—the terribly silly but determined Mrs. Bennet, her bemused but doting husband and their five daughters, all of marriageable age. So imagine the stir when a wealthy young man and his handsome friend turn up in the neighborhood. The daughters are agog, with one exception. The beautiful (and independent) Elizabeth has no interest in the handsome (and enigmatic) Mr. Darcy, who is equally aloof. And that’s what captures our imagination as we hope for love to triumph. It’s so much fun!
