Michael Jackson passed not having ever seen him perform live. I didn't want to let this opportunity to see a legend pass by. I'm very glad I went. My 26 yr Old daughter was surprised she knew most of his songs. The audience ranged in age from toddlers to people in motorized wheelchairs. It's wonderful when you go to a concert and know the words to all these songs you've heard all your life. Goldstar has never let me down. The seats weren't the best but for $10 I didn't expect to be as close as I was. Another person mentioned the dancers. they were a bit cheesy but I forgave it Smokey more than made up for it. it got breezy and a bit chilly. Bring a light sweater. No matter how warm the weather is for some reason this venue tends to cool down a lot in the evening. I had a very good time.
Went with my mom. We both really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was he didn't do an encore!

The outdoor Pacific Amphitheatre is located at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Since reopening in 2003 after being closed for nearly 10 years, the venue has seen its seating capacity reduced by 10,000 to a much more intimate 8,500 seats, and the theater continues to play host to major pop and rock acts.

Smokey Robinson is an American R & B and soul singer-songwriter, recorder producer, and former record executive. Robinson is noted for being one of the primary figures associated with Motown Records, second only to the company’s founder, Berry Gordy. As both a member of Motown group The Miracles and a solo artist, Robinson recorded thirty-seven Top 40 hits for Motown between 1960 and 1987, and also served as the company’s vice president from 1961 to 1988.
