The British Arrows/British Television Advertising Awards
Cincinnati World Cinema Screens the Best of British Ads/PSAs
Cincinnati World Cinema presents a fast-paced screening of funny and often touching TV ads offering great variety and creative content that will keep you guessing. The British Arrows Awards, aka the British Television Advertising Awards (BTAA) Program, is a juried collection of the best made-in-the-UK advertisements and Public Service Announcements for television, cinema and the Web. With common themes of misdirection, reverse psychology, a bit of sex and a lot of humor, the 2011 program promises to be highly creative and entertaining. Unlike in America, for decades the BTAA have been among the most prestigious prizes British filmmakers vie for, with such renowned directors as Ridley Scott and Alan Parker cutting their directorial chops by selling products through the use of imagination, wit and visual brilliance.
