Work that humbug out with some holiday laughs! Second City alums and veteran Comedy Central writers Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort have dreamed up this new twisted version of A Christmas Carol, infused with hilarious improv sketches and zany characters written specifically for its cast of L.A.-based Second City alumni. Scrooge, Tiny Tim, three ridiculous ghosts and a cast of The Second City's funniest alums take the Kirk Douglas stage by storm, as wicked satire, daring improv and a host of guest celebs run rampant throughout the Victorian streets. This is a great show with a contemporary flair. Val Kilmer did a really nice job writing and performing. He was only several feet away when he came up in the audience and you would never know that he was only 53. We saw the Hal Holbrook show about 15 years ago and we enjoyed this even more. He updated it for today's audience including making the show 90 minutes with no intermission. Go see this!

Didn't love it, not sure why. Love Mark Twain writings, don't know Val Killmer as an actor.
Hearing device not working and I missed many punch lines. Judging from the reaction of the audience I was "odd man out." I ama hard to please.
Please be aware that this production of Citizen Twain includes profanity, stage smoke and fog, the sound of gunfire and mature content.
