The goodie bags advertized were MUCH smaller than what was given out. There were so many people permitted into such a small smace it was almost impossible to look at what teh vendors actually provided. The prices were good and the drinks were plenty, as long as you did not mind waiting in line.

Drinks were good. There were not as many vendors as I would have liked. Glad we went early, lines started getting long.

What a fab-u-lous evening! It was our first Sheckys event and first FIG event, and it won't be our last!! Great booth variety and quality, good free drinks, very fun mixology class with Cointreau, and an atmosphere that encouraged meeting people! We made new friends that night, totally unexpected surprise!

You also got the basics right - efficient friendly checkin; clean area and it stayed clean; waste receptacles available; changing booths; clean bathrooms; right amount of room to move around and see things but not too much room which can be a buzz kill. Thanks for the attention to detail!

To improve:
1. Advance material said there was valet parking but when we arrived we were told there was none.
2. Very disappointing goodie bags!!! Whisk?! Really?! I kept the plastic shaker and lip balm, tossed the rest.
3. Lack of info on future Sheckys or FIG events, other than finding a stack of postcards somewhere about the August sale at FIG.
4. Better signage in the room: "this way to goodie bags" (which should have been closer to checkin); "Mixology reservations line" vs "Mixology reservation holders". We never did figure out how to get the professional photographer to take our photo in front of Sheckys backdrop!
5. Tell people ahead of time there won't be food! I wish I had eaten before arriving, would have been able to focus more on shopping!

Like most of the reviewers, I was glad I only paid half for the ticket price. At half price, it did not feel all that bad. Here are a couple of good things about this event. Really enjoyed the margarita making class and buying a maxi dress for only $20. Having said that I wish it had more booths selling clothes. And some real cocktails at a discounted price instead of watered down sugary drinks.
I really did not mind the goodie bag that much either because I only paid half price to get in. I am not sure if i would ever go back again.
