One Night With Janis Joplin: 4th of July Fireworks & BBQ
- Full Price:
- $108.00
- Our Price:
- $100.00
One Night With Janis Joplin adds some actual Fourth of July fireworks to the musical ones produced on stage, with a post-show barbeque buffet on the Arena Stage terrace -- a prime viewing spot for the famed pyrotechnics launched on the National Mall. First up is the show, a part-concert, part-theatrical event that captures Janis Joplin's life and legacy in all its live intensity. Mary Bridget Davies stars as the rock legend in a performance that has audiences dancing in the aisles and critics raving. Featuring powerful musical numbers including "Piece of My Heart, "Summertime" and "Mercedes Benz," as well as one song Joplin never formally recorded, One Night boasts a full band and a cast including Sabrina Elayne Carten, who plays Bessie Smith, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. After the performance, you'll move outside the theater for food and drinks, along with the fireworks viewing. Please see the full event description for the buffet menu. Learn More

Written on Jul 24 2012We went on Sunday early afternoon. It was lots of fun, but the variety of food at Taste of Addison seemed to be a bit better.
Written on Jul 20 2012Decent place to spend the day with family. They charge you to enter and the food isn't exactly cheap. Even though the prices are usually less than lets say a typical fair or event, the portions were smaller also. They did have some areas inside so you and the family could cool off in the A/C.
Written on Jul 18 2012Lots of food...mostly small samplings. Once you pay your ticket, to taste the higher quality food will cost anywhere from $20-50 more per person to get into certain exhibits and taste the restaurants set up on the premises.
Written on Jul 17 2012Friday night was the best night to go, it wasn't too busy and the weather was perfect. The vendors were excited to talk about their products and samples, the energy was good. There were however multiple boths for the same company. I would wish that we could get enough variety to only have one vendor location.
