Celebrate a 2,000-year-old tradition at Fair Park with giant lanterns, acrobatic shows and a massive dragon boat. The 2013 Chinese Lantern Festival will transport you to the Far East for a magnificent look into Chinese culture and history. You'll see brilliant lantern displays made of thousands of individual pieces projecting a kaleidoscope of color, and thrill to acrobatic demonstrations including the dramatic art of Bian Lian (Face Changing). The festival also features a 120-foot-long Imperial Dragon Boat and a towering Porcelain Pagoda built from 68,000 pieces of porcelain dishware, all hand-tied using traditional techniques. Chinese and western food, arts and crafts will also be available in the extensive marketplace. Learn More

The theatre was a bit empty. The performers all had great voices and spunky attitudes, but it all felt a bit high school one act play to me. Some raunchy humor just came across as desperate vs witty and at times I felt myself checking news on my phone. I think the group has amazing talent, but this show and writing was a miss for me.
Quotes & Highlights
- "Only one a cappella group has remained steadfastly lewd, crude, and rapturously reviewed... Legendary for their succulence, sarcasm, and style, the Kinsey Sicks can easily shock and awe unsuspecting audiences... Rollicking... [They] never fail to bring down the house." —Huffington Post
- "The Kinsey Sicks will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart. These four musicians-actors-writers-composers-drag queens are wickedly gay, and man, can they sing! Completely a capella, their material is intelligent and scathingly funny. Their lyrical parodies of well known songs will have you rolling ... geniously hilarious ... excellent original tunes ... brilliant. With their impeccable timing, precise harmonies, and cultural savvy, the Kinseys represent fabulous, satirical queer humor at its finest." ~ In Los Angeles Magazine
