The San Diego Derby Dolls present hard-hitting, unscripted, full-contact roller derby action at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. A sister league to the Los Angeles Derby Dolls, they are the nation's first hybrid league of both banked track (the inclined surface) and flat track (on the ground) roller derby. The all-female league currently features five teams.

The S.D. Derby Dolls are no fly-by-night operation. Founded in 2005, the S.D. Derby Dolls are the only all-female roller derby league across the nation to skate competitively on both banked and flat-track surfaces. Within the league, four teams battle for dominance across the state and nation: The Swarm, The Wildfires, Diego Rollers and Hard Corps. While their uniforms may be stylish and their names playful–do not be fooled by appearances–the S.D. Derby Dolls only skate pure, unscripted, full-contact roller derby.

Roller Derby Hoorah: Hard Corps vs. Redwood Rollers
The San Diego Derby Dolls’ military-themed team, Hard Corps, will battle it out with the Redwood Rollers, hailing from the notoriously green Humboldt County.
Unfamiliar with modern-day roller derby? Unlike the 70’s era derby, it’s 100% real. The hits, the hurts, the pain and the joy of two all-female teams battling it out in a full-contact sport on wheels. Derby combines the hard hits of sports like football and hockey with the speed, agility and excitement of basketball. Come judge for yourself- these ladies are tough!
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., bout starts at 7:00 p.m. Fans can win raffle prizes such as an aerobatic airplane "thrill ride" and much more! Come for the full-contact action of all-female roller derby and leave a winner! Will you be the one to win? The show is all-ages and family friendly.
Established in June 2005, San Diego Derby Dolls are the hybrid, banked track and flat track skating sister league of the LA Derby Dolls (est 2003). Determined to dominate the sport of roller derby in any form, we play straight up, hard core, no nonsense, in-your-face roller derby. Our vision: to gain national recognition in roller derby as a professional sport; providing positive female role models for San Diego's youth. SDDD have been founded upon the attributes of athleticism, integrity and respect. We are proud to be America's Finest Roller Derby and pledge to represent San Diego to the fullest degree in America's most exciting sport for women!
