Well on its way to becoming a stage classic, this riotous farce unspools before a 1934 gala opera fundraiser, which suddenly loses its star tenor just minutes prior to curtain. This dire situation sets off a chain of disasters resulting in mistaken identities and double entendres galore, as a local impresario fumbles his way through a comedy of errors to ensure that the show does indeed go on. A smash hit on Broadway, this madcap favorite by Ken Ludwig (Moon Over Buffalo, Twentieth Century) was also nominated for more than a dozen Tony and Drama Desk Awards. Learn More
January 10, 2014: The Cold Hard Cash Show (Johnny Cash Tribute) & Elvis' 79th Birthday Party with The Velvet Elvis
The Cold Hard Cash Show is an original and innovative tribute to the music of Johnny Cash and The Tennessee Three!
Fronted by guitarist and singer Merle Travis Peterson, The Cold Hard Cash Show brings to life classic Cash songs from the Sun & Columbia Records catalogs to the modern American recordings, performing with the energy of the Live at Folsom and San Quentin albums with a sound so accurate you’d think you’re listening to The Man in Black himself!
The band formed in 2005 and has changed its rhythm section lineup through the years. Currently the lineup includes longtime member Fel Torres on drums and Travis Yost on bass. Bass players Ryan Yates (Millionaires Club) and Jeff Turman (Cash For Junkers) are often seen performing with the band on various shows. Since the formation, they have performed on hundreds of stages, often sharing them with the likes of such artists as Darryl Worley, John Anderson, Eric Church, Charlie Daniels, Lonestar, Eddie Money, Eli Young Band and countless others as well as performing at several private functions, which included guests such as Katy Perry, Shawn Colvin, John Oates, Justin Timberlake and John Mayer. The band also performed on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2008 and Memphis in May Festival in 2011.The band continues to perform across the U.S.
