Over the course of nearly 40 years, George Vass has displayed his violin virtuosity across three continents, receiving accolades for his incredible interpretations of the classics and unique style of play that he's modeled on the sound of the human voice. Vass will be joined on piano by Laura Gordy, a celebrated performer of both contemporary and classical music. In the intimate setting of the Marcus Jewish Community Center, this special performance will find Vass and Gordy playing the music of Bloch, Beethoven and Brahms. Learn More
When Alice is beckoned by the Cheshire Cat to leave her boring day to day life and walk through a mirror, she enters a whole new world, and her life definitely gets “curious and curiouser.” She grows and shrinks in size and meets all manner of crazy characters —talking mice and rabbits, a Mad Hatter who drinks tea to the rhythm of flamenco Bulerías, Royal flower-painting Playing Cards, a wise Caterpillar, and a King who fears nothing . . . except his wife . . . the Red Queen! But things get even crazier when the Knave of Hearts tries to steal some of the Red Queen’s treasured tarts, leading to a climactic trial that could end with both the Knave and Alice losing their heads! Will it be “Off with their heads!” or will Alice find a way to dance her way through this curious land of flamenco and find her way home? The only way to find out is by going down the rabbit hole with us and joining us in WONDERLAND!
