Featuring an interactive, circus-style stage show, The Sippy Cups are a hipster parent's dream of a child's first live concert. To the delight of cool kids and their grown-ups everywhere, the band has staged family matinees at some of America's most renowned rock clubs, including repeat performances at local fave Bimbo's 365, and is a natural fit for the parent-friendly environment of Blue Sky. Created by three dads living in a coastal town just south of San Francisco, The Sippy Cups' first gig was a fundraiser for a community-built playground in their neighborhood. Just two years later, all their concerts sold out in advance, their CDs flew off the shelves, and critical acclaim hailed from the likes of the San Francisco Chronicle, ABC-TV, the New York Post, and Time magazine. The powerful formula of The Sippy Cups' early success lies in their equal appeal to parents and children and a play list from The Beatles, Velvet Underground, Bowie, The Ramones and others.
