BergenPac is a huge barn of a theater. I really wish they would move people forward when good seats do not sell out. We saw Martin Short from the rear orchestra. There was a huge swath of seats in the front center orchestra sitting empty. Wouldn't Martin Short rather look out and see those seats full? Why not "upgrade" people and move them forward when they arrive at the theater? BergenPac never seems to have grasped this idea.Martin Short info • May 19 2014 star this tip starred

Bob Newhart was good, but this was an extremely short show. Started promptly at 7:03, and we were out the door by 8:33. That included a long set by a big band-type orchestra and a vocalist--about five songs and patter--plus a longish video montage. For Goldstar prices, fine. Also, BergenPac really annoys me with its discounted seating policies. If you buy a discounted ticket, they put you in the crappiest orchestra seats and leave tons of the better seats open. This always happens. This time we were in Row X on the side, and Center Rows V to the back of the house were completely empty, obviously held back. Really aggravating. BergenPac needs to rethink this, since Goldstar and Groupon seats are not assigned till about 24 hours before the show. Here's a hint, BergenPac: if dozens of seats haven't sold to full-price patrons by Saturday night, no hordes are going to come in and snap them up on Sunday morning.
