Almost definitely the greatest violinist ever to hail from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Nadir Khashimov is a rising star on the international music scene, earning fans and great reviews with his passionate and technically brilliant playing. Khashimov, who plays a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin made in 1828, is only 23 years old, but he's already appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout the world, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Orchestra of Russia, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. He's performed at Carnegie Hall, and won top prizes at violin competitions across Europe and beyond. When he's not touring the globe and playing before audiences of thousands, Khashimov studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, looking to further perfect his miraculous technique. sound was pretty bad (microphones were not being used properly) - 2nd half was better after complaining to ushers but still low and quiet. Good story line followed the movie and acting, costume changes, set changes was good. It would have been great if we could hear what was said. We have seen many shows at EPAC and this was the worst - get new sound technicians or teach the people to speak into the mics - the mic sitting by the ear does not help, it needs to be in front of your lips and mouth from were you speak (you don't speak from your ear)
