St. Patrick's Day comes early when Slugger O'Toole, one of Southern California's top Celtic music groups, plays the California Center for the Arts on a Friday night. Featuring traditional fiddle, accordion, mandolin, banjo, bodhran, pennywhistle, flute and guitars, plus brilliant close harmonies, Slugger O'Toole has thrilled audiences around the state and beyond. Their members include multi-intrumentalist John Sommers, who was a member of John Denver's band during the 1970s and wrote his hit song "Thank God I'm a Country Boy."

Park across the street in the shopping center, the parking is hard to get out of.
The theater is very old, ladies room upstairs. Seats are comfortable.

Amateurish, and far too loud. The music and approach to almost all songs was the same by many of the musicians, which made the whole concert both uncomfortable and boring.
