Variety called Wicked "a cultural phenomenon," and it's been working its magic on critics and audiences alike both on Broadway and around the world. Now the winner of more than 50 major awards, Wicked is flying back to the San Diego Civic Theatre. Long before Dorothy drops in to Munchkinland from Kansas, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One -- born with emerald-green skin -- is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. The story of how these two unlikely friends become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good makes for what USA Today called "the most complete -- and completely satisfying -- musical in a long time." With this pre-sale offer, you can get access to great seats before they go on sale to the general public on August 22. Learn More

There were some really outstanding performers: lead males, lady who played Ebony's mom,
and great stage work.
For being a bit critical, the following charachers/actors could be more refined:
man who played the priest and other characters(good voice but didn't seem to take the characters very seriously)
lady who sang "I dream a dream"(acted well but singing could be better)
young boy who was shot during the revolution toward the end (didn't project the character well)
Ebony (has a great voice but didn't seem to be in character till second half of play)
few times, seemed the sound people didn't turn the mic on time.

This production was incredible! Having also been to see the Star Rep version I didn't know how this group would compare...... Happily this 413 version was by FAR better!
The actors were cast perfectly, fantastic orchestra and excellent attention...continued
