Almost definitely the greatest violinist ever to hail from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Nadir Khashimov is a rising star on the international music scene, earning fans and great reviews with his passionate and technically brilliant playing. Khashimov, who plays a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin made in 1828, is only 23 years old, but he's already appeared as a soloist with orchestras throughout the world, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Orchestra of Russia, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. He's performed at Carnegie Hall, and won top prizes at violin competitions across Europe and beyond. When he's not touring the globe and playing before audiences of thousands, Khashimov studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, looking to further perfect his miraculous technique.
