A production based on spectacle and grandness of vision ... current venue is undersized for achieving its intended effect. The story has contemporary relevance about women's choices and place in the world. The choreography needs to be energized and made less repetitive. The lyrics were well-suited to moving the story along, but the device of having multiple characters singing against each other was overused. Hollis Resnik gave the kind of nuanced performance that always makes seeing her a treat, and the cast showcased many talented performers.

Excellent production. All of the singers were easy to understand (unlike many other musicals I've seen) so the musical numbers helped move the story forward. Went to see something from the American Music Theater Project and wasn't disappointed; I don't think they'll have any difficulty mounting the production on larger stages. Dangerous Beauty is well worth your time.
