Stories of the world come alive at the Newseum, where you can go behind the scenes to experience how and why news is made. Stand in the shadow of the Unabomber's cabin, touch the Berlin Wall, marvel at a comprehensive collection of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs and hear never-told stories from the journalists and photographers who stood on the front lines of history. The high-tech museum features seven levels of galleries and exhibits, theaters, retail spaces and visitor services where you can explore electronic news, unique artifacts, photojournalism, news history and world news. And, since there's so much to see, your ticket is good for two consecutive days. Take your time and see half the first day, then return the next day to catch what you missed. Learn More

The instructor, Shawn Westfall, was competent and experienced. We had a full evening of exercises, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I did.
The Felix Lounge wasn't as good. It was a hike from the Metro, and the bar charged some hefty prices for drinks. Our space, upstairs, was small, and not very well cooled.
It was fun, despite the substandard site.
Need a good laugh? A healthy chuckle? Who doesn't!?
Ever watch Whose Line Is It, Anyway? and wonder if you could do that, too? Well, you can: not only is improvisational comedy fun to watch, it's both fun, and easy, to do. And improv isn't just for actors..right now it's for Professionals In The City.
Join us for a private and much sought-after 3-hour class covering the basics of improv. You'll also learn a number of games you can play just about anywhere, learn how to develop scenes and create characters within seconds, and learn exercises to help create "group mind" to better work and act together. But more importantly, you'll open your mind and free yourself from some of the fears you may have about public speaking and presence...while having fun, laughing, and meeting new people!
The instructor, Shawn Westfall, is currently the exclusive instructor of improvisational comedy at the DC Improv, where he's taught a number of wildly popular improv classes, classes that were featured prominently in both the Washington Post and in the Post-Express.
