Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents the Southern California debut of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo performing a sophisticated version of the classic romantic ballet, Cinderella. One of Sergei Prokofiev's most popular and melodic scores, this production of the fairy tale ballet by a company from the real-life fairy tale kingdom of Monaco is choreographed by artistic director Jean-Christophe Maillot, whose sleek and modern interpretation presents Cinderella as a fresh-faced girl in a simple ivory frock and bare feet. Her longing for her lost mother is so great, it results in the appearance of a fairy godmother who will guide the girl into womanhood. This is Cinderella as you've never seen it before. Called "poetic and expressive" by La Croix and "brilliant" by Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Maillot's Cinderella will capture your heart. Learn More
