Bamba is the former lead singer of Les Amazones de Guinée, an all-female band renowned for both their music and their political stance promoting women's emancipation in Africa. Bamba's solo material blends traditional Manding music with French lyrics and other diverse influences helping to make her a hit at world music festivals across France.
