See -- and hear -- the songs of Wynonna Judd, Patsy Cline and other country superstars played live on stage as Marcia Kester performs Journeys of the Heart and Soul: Tribute to the Queens of Country at the Historic Everett Theatre. Charismatic and inspirational, Kester is an audience favorite in the local Hometown Hootenanny country concert series. Backed by a trio of professional musicians, Kester uses her husky-sweet vocals to deliver personal tales of challenge and triumph along with well-known songs made famous by female country icons. Description
Chase away the winter chills with an evening filled with music about toes in the sand, sun on your face, and tiny umbrellas in pretty pastel drinks. It's a country-flavored celebration of summertime, with the Hometown Band delivering a little Kenny Chesney, some Zac Brown Band, and (of course) a bit of Jimmy Buffet.
Guest artists include singer/songwriter Marcia Kester, with lusty vocals reminiscent of Patsy Cline, and Johnny Gray, a recent top 12 winner of Evening Magazine's "You've Got Talent" contest. Country trio Heartbreak Mountain rounds out the lineup for the beach-themed show.
