Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon is the world's longest-running musical revue. Since 1974, this San Francisco institution has followed Snow White on a musical comedy quest around the world, where she runs into satirically portrayed pop-culture and political celebrities, an impressive array of gigantic hats and one show-stopping musical number after another. Because the show is constantly updated with new costumes, hats and characters, it rewards repeat visits. Among the familiar faces you might see spoofed in Beach Blanket's latest incarnation: Lady Gaga, Barack and Michelle Obama, the cast of Glee, Kate Middleton and Adele. Even after nearly 40 years, Beach Blanket Babylon remains one of San Francisco's wildest evenings of live entertainment. Learn More

Written on Jul 30 2012Cast and costumes were great! Such fun! We often go to larger venues in Seattle and loved the smaller, more intimate feel of the Everett Performing Arts theatre
Written on Jul 16 2012This is an excellent production. Kudos to Mel Brooks nimble brain, Steve Tomkins directorial skills, Richard Gray, Brian Earp and Jessica Skerritt who headed up a talented cast and to Goldstar/Village Theater Mainstage for fine seats at a fine price. Don't miss seeing "The Producers"...I would have except for having been nudged by someone who had seen it and recommended it the way I'm recommending it...passionately!
Written on Jul 16 2012Good show, better in most ways than the original B&W movie, some bravura performances by the leads, a few excellent dance numbers. Not a perfect show - too many 'ooh, gay is funny' jokes, and the ending was forced.
Written on Jul 16 2012Great show...and great seats, too. Thanks, Goldstar!
