Celebrated Broadway performer Barbara Cook brings her amazing soprano voice to the Kupferberg Center. Not only are Cook's concert and cabaret performances the stuff of New York legend, but her life in the theater has stretched from the creation of the lead female roles in the Broadway classics Candide, The Music Man and She Loves Me, to her recent Tony-nominated appearance in Sondheim on Sondheim, and a whole lot in between. Among a heavy mantle of awards, Cook has been honored with the Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk, and Drama Critics Circle Awards, has been inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame, and was recently presented with the Kennedy Center Honor. I love seeing Audra McDonald in concert!!! You can feel the warmth in her singing. She's funny. I only had a minor problem, Goldstar printed a few tickets where some of us would have had to share the same seat, but that was rectified immediately, actually because of this glitch my seat was moved up even closer to the stage!!!
