In Deborah Zoe Laufer's End Days, sixteen-year-old Rachel Stein is having a very bad year. Her father hasn't changed out of his pajamas since, well, way too long ago. Her mother has begun a close, personal relationship with Jesus. Her new neighbor, a teenage Elvis impersonator, has fallen for her hard. And now the Apocalypse is supposed to happen on Wednesday. Her only hope is that Stephen Hawking will save them all. This poignant yet funny play received the American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg citation in 2008.

This slapstick farce follows the disaster-prone exploits of three roommates after one of them brings home a seductive grifter. The night before his girlfriend's art opening, Bobby makes a terrible decision by letting the mysterious femme fatale into his home where she quickly turns philosopher/stoner Hank and awkward conspiracy theorist Jeff against each other. As Bobby gets caught up in the web of lies, the situation turns dire when a hitman shows up looking for the con artist. Maryland Ensemble Theatre's new, original production delivers quick-witted humor along with biting social commentary, plus a briefcase full of cash and a talking chimp. Learn More

Great community theater; I've never had a bad experience or seen a bad show there.

Everyone was such a convincing character and Brian Irons got into his roll even before the show started. Totally awesome!!!
