When a girl's body is found in the basement of the factory where she works, police suspicion falls first on a black employee, then on Jewish foreman Leo Frank. The media, an enraged public and a politician who wants to put the matter to rest spur an overzealous prosecutor to solicit false testimony from witnesses, leading to Frank's conviction. After the verdict, the governor realizes that something was amiss and looks into the trial, but it may be too late for Leo Frank. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Alfred Uhry with music by Jason Robert Brown, this true crime musical is part courtroom drama, part social commentary -- and completely compelling. Written on Aug 02 2012This show was really good. The songs are catchy. Storyline is good. Easy to follow. Very humorous. I like the jokes. Actors and actresses were great also. Lots of leg-room in the seat. Parking was accessible.

Written on Aug 01 2012I first saw this play at the Ahmanson Theater in LA. The Pulmmer Auditorium was a great venue. It's older so the seats are wider and rows are spaced out. No one stepping on your feet! Plus, every seat has a great view. It was great to see the same play, same props, and even some of the same actors for a much cheaper price. It was hilarious. Good time high quality low brow humor.

Written on Jul 31 2012The play was so hilarious I laughed from start to finish! Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton CA was excellant. Parking structure is right across the street and is free. What more could you ask for. Great restuarants in the area also.
