Peter Morgan's Tony Award-nominated play that spawned the critically acclaimed 2006 film pits jet-setting British TV talk-show host David Frost against disgraced former president Richard Nixon in a battle of wits and wills. Desperate to regain his slipped standing as a serious journalist, Frost seeks to elicit from the Watergate-plagued Nixon a detailed explanation and apology, while the ever-political former president has his own agenda. This fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the famous 1977 series of interviews dissects the electrifying battle between Nixon and Frost, revealing both mens insecurities, ego and sense of dignity as they face off in a historic encounter that ultimately changes them both. Very funny, enjoyable and a bit risqué. The only thing uncomfortable was sitting next to the mothers (or grandmothers) of some of the actors as they commented on some of the suggestive scenes and adult themes.Written on Nov 22 2010

The presentation was totally funny and very entertaining. The cast did a superb job and they deserve a very good round of applause! This is the first time we go to the Maverick Theater, and we found it very comfortable. There really is no bad seat in the house, as the cozy atmosphere of the theater allows all to enjoy the performance wherever they are seated. Thanks to all the cast for such an enjoyable performance.Written on Nov 18 2010

Description
The 1978 adult film Debbie Does Dallas changed the landscape of adult entertainment, and contributed to a changing popular culture around the country. It’s no surprise then, that its 2002 Off-Broadway musical adaptation was a smash success. Since its creation, the musical has been performed all over the world to both audience and critical acclaim. It is irreverent and silly as the original film, but unlike the film, there is no actual sex or nudity present in the script—instead there are lavish song and dance numbers!
Debbie Benton is just a small town girl with big dreams to be a Texas Cowgirl Cheerleader. But she only has two weeks to raise the fare to get to Dallas, so she and her cheerleader friends form a small company performing odd jobs for local businesses. They soon realize that ‘side jobs’ for the owners pay a lot more! Before long, no place in town is safe: The library, the car wash, even the sporting goods store is fair game for the girls. But can they do enough to get to Dallas in time? Find out at The Maverick Theater’s Debbie Does Dallas!
